How to Buy a Mattress At Affordable price.
Do you spend the night tossing and turning? Are you tired when you get up? Does your back feel out of whack and your neck twisted when you wake up in the morning? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions then you probably need a new mattress. You know you spend a third of your life on this piece of furniture that can either be your friend or your enemy. Since you have no choice but to sleep, it is best if you make your mattress your friend. Now, don’t get me wrong, this is not a life-long friendship we are talking about here. Mattresses usually last about 10 years, after that, you get to have a new model. Tell that to your wife and see what happens! Either way if you live a normal life, and most of us do, you will need about 7 mattresses during your lifetime. That means that you have to be very picky. Remember Goldilocks? Some people think a mattress is a mattress. Contraire! There are a quazillion different styles that are tailored from the very picky sleeper to people like my wife that can sleep between two rocks and still snore. Additionally, we may be sleeping with someone who has very different needs than ours. Now let me give you a word of caution here. The mattress may not be everything you need to change; the bed itself may need replacement. You see those creaking, crackling noises you hear in the night may not be a ghost or your tired bones, it may be the bed structure itself, but hey, that’s a whole different article and we are talking mattresses here. You have to start with the mattress, because the mattress itself is the key to a good night sleep. Now, it’s time to buy a mattress. You may think, “I’ll get a used one”. Are you kidding? Mattresses collect all kinds of junk through the years. Sweat, scaly skin pieces and yes, they do exist, bed bugs. Really, when was the last time you actually cleaned your own mattress? Remember sleeping at your aunt Edna’s spare room? That funk you smelled was not coming from the atmosphere; it was coming from the mattress. Believe me, no amount of deodorizer or scent candles can take away that moldy smell. So, you are going to buy a new mattress. Now comes the selection process. Trust me; it’s not going to be easy. Before buying a mattress think about a few things. First think price and then size. The older I got the bigger the bed I wanted. Last but not least, think about your own health problems and sleep needs. Once all your priorities are set, it is time to go shopping. Now, don’t be hasty about the process. Take your time, after all like I said before, you are going to spend one third of your life on this mattress. Wear comfortable clothing, not a pajama mind you, but close enough so that you can feel the way you are supposed to feel when you hit the sack. Next, it’s ok to spend a lot of time visiting the some of the alledged more prestigious stores to get a good idea of what you may want. Leave our store for last, you won’t be disappointed. You may say, “But I’ll be dead tired!” Good! The more tired you are the better decision you’ll make. It’s a win, win situation. Finally, try to spend as much money as your budget will allow you. This is honesty folks. Unfortunately, the cheaper the bed, lower the quality of your sleep. Restful slumber comes at a price. Ask about warranties, most of the mattresses come with a warranty that may outlast you. So once you have considered comfort, firmness, size and price along with a good warranty make your choice.
